Our fitness philosophy and approach

Repps Fitness combines the best of personal training with the advantages of a full service gym. We provide strength, cardiovascular fitness and nutrition advice that is tailored to a client’s needs and lifestyle.

Strength training through resistance and weight training is the bedrock of our fitness philosophy. Strong muscles move better, recover faster and are less prone to injury - essentially allowing you tackle whatever life throws at you, whether it’s long hours at a desk job (strong shoulders and trapezoids mean less neck pain), or a particularly challenging SCUBA diving trip (a strong posterior chain and core allows you to handle the weight of the tank and the weights around your belt).

We train smart - everyone starts somewhere, which is why we believe it’s so important to develop individual fitness programs that people can follow at their own pace. We will push you when necessary, but also know not to push you too far beyond your comfort zone. While individually tailored, our approach is all of the things below.

No two fitness journeys are the same. We create your exercise routine for your needs - one size absolutely does not fit all. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned athlete, our owners (who are personally involved in each client’s progress) develop an exercise and nutrition regimen that evolves with your strength and abilities. Life changes, and your routine should too.

Choosing to exercise is a commitment to make to your health - and doing that is more important now than ever. Repps Fitness is committed to making you feel stronger and fitter. Meet us half way. We’ll work with you through the good days and the days you don’t feel like working out. Sometimes, we’ll encourage you to take the day off because rest is one of the most important parts of an effective fitness lifestyle. Because that’s what it is - a lifestyle, not a hobby.

We stick to the science and update our knowledge frequently. Exercise science and nutrition are evolving fields, so if the conventional wisdom changes, so will our approach. We take an holistic and balanced approach to fitness - tackling it through a smart, researched combination of exercise (strength, agility, cardio), nutrition and rest.
